Our Model

The Himalayan Devis Project is based on an integrated model of

inner development and outer development

We believe lasting community transformation is strongest when personal well-being, leadership, livelihoods, and social development grow together. Our approach combines consciousness-based practices with practical community initiatives that support women’s empowerment, rural resilience, and sustainable development across Himalayan villages.

Inner Development

Through the Transcendental Meditation (TM) and TM-Sidhi programs, women develop greater inner stability, mental clarity, emotional resilience, and self-confidence. These practices support individual well-being while also strengthening leadership capacity, community participation, and collective harmony.

The project views inner development as the real foundation for long-term social and community transformation.

Outer Development

Alongside TM and wellness programs, the project supports practical initiatives in sustainable livelihoods, regenerative agriculture, artisan enterprise, health awareness, skills training, and women-led local development.

By strengthening local capacities and creating opportunities for economic participation, the initiative aims to support self-sufficient and resilient Himalayan communities rooted in local culture and knowledge.

Community-Based Approach

The Himalayan Devis Project works through village-based participation, local leadership development, and collective community engagement.

Planned community centers are designed as hubs for meditation, education, skills training, cultural activities, health initiatives, and livelihood development, creating long-term support systems for women and families across the region.

Long-Term Vision

Our long-term vision is to support thriving Himalayan communities where inner well-being, cultural preservation, sustainable livelihoods, and women-led leadership systems develop together for future generations.
