Our Story
The Himalayan Devis Project began with the aim of supporting the inner growth of Himalayan women while also addressing their financial needs. From this seed, it has grown into a movement that blends timeless wisdom with practical livelihoods, empowering women to uplift their communities from within. The project was born through a collaboration with ATI, a respected Himalayan NGO, and inspired by the teachings of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. At its core is the vision of bringing "200% of life"—both inner fulfillment and outer prosperity—back to the villages of the Himalayas.

Why the Himalayan Women?
Himalayan women are the backbone of their communities - deeply rooted in their traditions, devoted to their families, and carrying a vast indigenous knowledge of nature, agriculture, and local culture. They embody resilience and quiet strength, balancing multiple roles as farmers, caregivers, and preservers of heritage.

Yet, their daily reality is one of intense physical labor and constant responsibility—farming steep terrains, carrying heavy loads, cooking, cleaning, tending livestock, and caring for children, elders, and extended family. This unrelenting workload, combined with limited access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunities, leads to premature aging, health issues, and restricted personal growth.
By investing in these women, we are not only improving individual lives but also allowing a multiplier effect to be created - strengthening families, preserving culture, regenerating rural economies, and ensuring sustainable development across entire communities. Empowered Himalayan women become leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs, creating change from the inside out.
